Bible Study on Micah

Hey folks! I am currently going through the study on the book of Micah in my dad's cell group at my house. The book of Micah is an important book especially in our time where we face spiritual tsunami cause by so many factors. The book of Micah answered many tough questions including:

How should Christians live in a Non-Christian nation? The world is getting worst, what is God doing? How come those people who sinned against God does not receive their punishment? What is prosperity gospel?

We have completed three sessions, and we have four more to go. I encourage you to follow us as we study along the book of Micah. Feel free to post your question about the book of Micah at the comment section of this post.

I think i have something to be discuss here.

I think it is quite related to the book of Micah.

In chapter 4 , The chapter is talking about GOD`s plan towards the poeple of israel.Well , How do you difine the will of god ? What do you mean here ?For example , like you choosing 2 item.So , you decide to buy the A.So,is it the will of god ??

Is this chapter , Micah of prophet Spoken infront of the poeple. They have someone to tell them about this message.

Let`s come back to the modern world. How do we know , The will of god is working in us.In church ,Frequently we will heard from pastor yvonne."Open your spiritual eyes and see how are you in the presence ,or the future."

Any point of view about it ?

Well, you have few questions here and there. I think the more prominent question that you are asking is "What is the will of God?" and you could be thinking of perhaps some would fall off from the will of God.

First, what do we mean by will? Is there a possibility that what God will did not come into existence? God, in His divine power, created the world. His will is that the universe would worship Him.

Then human failed and fall into sin. Does this means that God's will have been broken? Well, it some way, yeah. God's will is for human to live in harmony with Him. Yet, human failed to do so. In common words, we say human failed to fufil the will of God.

So how do we know the will of God? Does God has a specific plan for each one of us? I certainly believe so. Yet, we as human, we will never understand it till we have gone through it.

Micah and Paul understand one important truth, that God's will is always non-contradict with His words. However, in many cases that are not stated in the Bible, we have to learn to judge with our conscious.

Yet today, our conscious are blinded by many temptation of the world. That is why we need to continously renewed by the Spirit of GOd, allow the truth of God to sink into our heart and mind. That is why Paul said that we will struggle with the way our body response to the world. Things we want to do, but we don't do. Yet things we should do, we didn't do it. Then in Romans 12, Paul told us that we need to live by the renewing of our mind. Then in the later chapters, Paul said that we need the Holy Spirit to help us.

Micah in that sense also understand that when the people disobey God's commandment, they are out of God's will. Micah is not talking about whether should we buy this thing, or that. Rather, as a nation, we failed to fulfil God's covenant with us. To Micah, God's will is for the nation to live according to the covenant of God.

So, in our daily life, we are living in God's will. As a matter of facts, I say stop blamming God for His will. We need to take responsibility for the action we make. God gives us the freedom to choose, to use our common sense and conscious to make judgment.

So, prayer, bible study and fellowship with the believers of Christ will help us to make better judgment.

So, don't worry so much whether are you out of God's will. Remember, He is God. If you are really out of His will, He can use circumstances and other means to pull you back. What we need to do is strive to live a holy life, and continously fellowship with the believers. We can also seek God's direction through prayer.

Hope this give you some thoughts.
